Our last two days at the beach

Our last two days at the beach were just like the rest of our time there...wonderful.  It didn't rain on Tuesday, but it was cloudy all day and SUPER windy.  I'm talking "blow your face off, sand was smacking your legs so hard you didn't want to walk on the beach" windy.  TJ and Olivia rode bikes in the morning, and Marcus went "swimming" in the large bathtub.  When they got back he went back and forth between playing in the fort Aunt Liv made him, to sitting in a chair and reading with Uncle TJ.  Needless to say, he LOVED spending time with the two of them, as did we.  Before lunch, we took two different kites out to the beach in an effort to put this huge wind to good use.  As you can tell from the pictures below, it was actually TOO WINDY to fly kites and we broke the string on the big kite twice.  Marcus cried most of the time because of the sand that pelted us all on the sides of our faces.  When we went back in he had a GLORIOUS time spraying everyone with the water hose as we rinsed off our legs and feet.
All FIVE of us took naps on Tuesday then got showered up and dressed for our last evening out.  We had supper at a place called, "Bovine's" in Murrell's Inlet.  Marcus and I enjoyed a steak and potato pizza and oh-my-stars it was good!  After we ate, we took a walk down the boardwalk and enjoyed the scenery and live music that played at the different venues.  And then there, in the middle of one of the islands, was the most random thing: goats and peacocks.  Literally, there was a small island just off the shore of the inlet with goats and peacocks.  It was so strange, yet funny to watch.  Marcus obviously loved it, but we couldn't figure out where in the heck they came from!  Either way, we came home, put Marcus to bed, and played one more round of cards (with TJ won - AGAIN!).
This morning, we got up early and packed as much as we could up, then hit the beach before 9am.  Again, it was ridiculously windy, but since the sun was out, it was bearable.  Marcus FINALLY got into the water a little bit, but wasn't super excited about it.  Since the tide was low, there were these perfect little pools of standing water in which he played, so that was helpful.  Mark and TJ threw the football, Olivia and I squirted water to entertain Marcus, and we all had a good time.  We finished up our morning with a quick half hour at the pool (which was Marcus' favorite) before all of us showering and making a final clean-out of the condo.
We were SO BLESSED by the Rennard family allowing us to stay there!  We played, rested, relaxed, and just enjoyed our time so much.  On the ride home tonight, I asked Mark what his favorite part was and he said, "resting."  For a man who works as hard as he does, it was GOOD for my sweet man to take daily naps, not have anything on his mind, and for him to be able to enjoy his family.  It was an incredible trip and we're happy to be back home, too. :)

Aunt Liv's Birthday!!!

Today is Aunt Liv's 27th birthday!  It was JAM-PACKED with fun so let the pictures tell our story.

Olivia started her birthday letting Marcus climb up the mirror.

TJ took Olivia shopping & we stayed back at the condo.  Marcus enjoyed watching the rain come down from the balcony.

After the rain, we decided to go for a walk & see the fountains

On our walk BACK it started to POUR, so we had fun running in the rain.

Eating a sandwich for lunch

During Marcus' nap, Olivia and I drove to Myrtle Beach to play the infamous baseball games.  The closest I got to winning Marcus a stuffed animal was 20 runs.  You need 28 to win.

Her only birthday wish was a chocolate dipped ice cream cone.

Day 2 at the Beach

Today we spent the majority of the day outside.  We were either at the pool, beach, or somewhere in between.  All of us got plenty of sun and a few sunburns, except for Marcus, who was covered in sunscreen. :)  We ate supper tonight at a place called, "Quiggly's" and just like the first time Mark and I ate there 3 years ago...it was delicious.  After supper we took a quick walk around the boardwalk for gators, but only found fish and turtles.  It may not sound like a lot, but we did PLENTY today.  We're all pooped now and plan on turning in earlier than we did last night.
We have a big day tomorrow since it's SOMEONE'S birthday. :)

TJ & Mark went biking for about an hour this morning.
